Dear Supporter,

Next week is the anniversary of Medicaid (July 30th).

In honor of the anniversary, we hope you’ll act to ensure people with disabilities can receive their Medicaid care and supports in their homes and communities rather than in an institution.

The Money Follows the Person program that helps states increase their Medicaid home and community-based services has expired. The program’s amazing progress — which includes transitioning more than 75,000 individuals with disabilities to community care and supports — is being threatened.

Bipartisan legislation in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives would fix this problem by renewing this important program.

Contact your Members of Congress. Tell them to quickly renew the Money Follows the Person program (S. 2227/H.R. 5306)

Twitter and Facebook Post (for July 30th)

Today is the 53rd anniversary of Medicaid! In honor of the anniversary, take action to ensure people with disabilities can receive Medicaid care and supports in their homes and communities rather than in an institution. http://bit.ly/2pfNWy6
