Join the DETAC along with the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University, and the Washington Initiative for Supported Employment to learn about resources and tips for a focused approach to building and implementing DEI to promote cultural humility and responsiveness. As grantees, supporting people from marginalized and underserved populations can be challenging when not having the right tools, especially when resources are scarce. Yet, there is a high need for cultural awareness and support when providing employment planning services. This webinar will help participants understand how to apply the resources shared and will further guide audience members to think through next steps in implementing some of the strategies presented.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration: How to Develop a Competitive Grant Application

The Office of Financial Resources at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) conducted a webinar on how to develop a competitive grant application.   • Affiliate Funding Corner Webinar: Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) (January 5, 2022)

     

    Join the National Office Grant Development team to explore the U.S. Department of Labor’s Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP), a federal grant opportunity intended to address two objectives: (1) to provide services to assist in reintegrating homeless veterans into meaningful employment within the labor force and (2) to stimulate the development of effective service delivery systems that will address the complex problems facing homeless veterans. We have a number of affiliates who have in the past and/or presently manage successful HVRP programs which leverage key Easterseals capacities and create new opportunities for additional programs, partners, and service growth. This discussion will also detail how to apply to this specific program, from federal registrations to Grants.gov navigation to application development and completion. The 2022 funding opportunity closed on March 2, 2022 (FOA-VETS-22-01).

    OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. This solicitation provides funding for applicant organizations to enhance and expand mentoring services for youth populations that are at risk or high risk for juvenile delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement. There are three categories under which organizations can apply, including: Mentoring Organizations (1 state), Mentoring Organizations (2 – 10 states), and Mentoring Organizations (11 – 44 states).
